Filming in Equalwood was a youth exchange about antidiscrimination. From 3 countries, 18 youngsters met and learn about their own prejudices, the mechanism of discrimination and strategies to confront discrimination.
The participants became filmmakers in October 2008, made scripts, built sets and shot scenes. The actors and actresses in Equalwood were Lego figures, who were made to move by the technic called stop motion. The films show homophobia, racism and abilism, who the young people see them.
We hope that the films which were made in Equalwood will be used in human rights education in the future.
