CIVIC SCOUTS AT WORK, a capacity-building programme for Hungarian companies, is open for applications until 22 June. The European pilot programme, which is taking place in four countries, aims to improve employee communication strategies, effective conflict management and sensitivity to social issues.
Launched in Germany in 2022 and available in Bulgaria, Croatia and Hungary from 2023, the programme aims to empower workers to become CIVIC SCOUTS, able to cope with social and economic challenges in the complex world of work. Among other things, they learn new communication strategies and conflict management methods, and become sensitive to social issues such as diversity, sustainability, polarisation and digitalisation. The methods learnt will enable knowledge and competences to be better communicated and transferred, and contribute to an attractive and innovative working environment and a more agile business model. An attractive aspect can be that certified participation in a European pilot programme puts companies in a pioneering role.
The programme takes into account different country-specific contexts and starting conditions. The offer will be developed on the basis of needs, aiming to transfer skills for decision-making, critical thinking, self-efficacy and knowledge about social, economic and ecological transformation. The topics, offerings and formats are agreed with employees so that their needs are incorporated into the module design.

The programme is implemented in Hungary by the Power of Humanity Foundation and the Alternative Communities Association, organised by The Civics Innovation Hub in Germany.
