Once a month, we hold our weekly staff meeting outside. This is one of the activities we are implementing under the Civilizáció internal wellbeing grant – the aim is to ensure the mental wellbeing of our staff. Under the programme, we organised supervision, team building and internal training from September last year to April this year.
We were delighted with the opportunity, as we have recently added new colleagues to our team. Since one of the great cohesive forces of our Foundation is the belief in a common mission, personal connection, a good working atmosphere and democratic organisation, we felt it was important to consciously cultivate this, pass it on and facilitate the arrival. It was important for us to consciously seek solutions to the challenges of organisational change.
The strategic, supervision and knowledge transfer sessions contribute to effective conflict management, sharing, aligning and harmonising knowledge and plans within the organisation. Recreational programmes help to strengthen relationships between staff, to integrate new staff into the community and to familiarise them with the organisational culture. The external staff was a good opportunity to get out of the familiar environment and to look at the tasks ahead with a new perspective.
This is the second time that Civilizáció has launched the wellbeing competition for its member organisations, supported by the Sigrid Rausing Trust.
